JUST WANNA SCREAM
I usually don’t publish in English as it is, I confess, not my number one language. But this time I make an exception because I feel it is important that Muslims all over the world scream out what they feel about IS. So I translated the following text, originally in German, into English and hope it will be shared so people see it is not true that Muslims don’t protest against cruelty committed in the name of their religion.
JUST WANNA SCREAM
yes
I am sick
of what’s being done
in the name of Islam
in the name of my religion
what’s being done
by
fanatic
brutalized
misguided
people
declaring they are
believers
true to Qur’an
pretending
to be fighting in the name of Allah
sick
I AM SICK!
JUST WANNA SCREAM!
how
for the sake of God
can humans live
(humans??)
calling themselves muslims!
expelling
decapitating
slaughtering
the nonbelievers
and those who
believe in a
slightly different way
even
bragging about
what they are doing!
HOW ATROCIOUS!
I am ashamed
crying
JUST WANNA SCREAM
helpless
yes
it is easy to say
“what they do
has nothing to do with Islam
if they themselves proclaim
that they do
what they do
in name of Islam
still
it is true!
It has nothing to do
with Islam
just
with cruelty
with blindness
with ignorance
with brutality
with stupidity
terrible disease
is in their
hearts
And of the people are some who say, “We believe in Allah and the Last Day,” but they are not believers. (8) They [think to] deceive Allah and those who believe, but they deceive not except themselves and perceive [it] not. (9) In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie. (10) And when it is said to them, “Do not cause corruption on the earth,” they say, “We are but reformers.” (11 ) Qur’an, Sura Al-Baqara)
